Hillside heathland course situated on the edge of the Pennines with excellent views across the Cheshire Plain. The signature hole is the 410yd 3rd, which drops majestically to a plateau green situated above a babbling brook. The temptation is to over-club, thus bringing the out of bounds behind into play. The 7th hole is aptly named Seven Shires as seven counties can be seen on a clear day, as well as the mountains.
