Ormeau Golf Club

Parkland course which provides a challenge for low and high handicap golfers, good shots being rewarded and those that stray offline receiving due punishment. The long par 4 5th hole has an intimidating out of bounds on the right and a narrow sloping green, well protected by trees and bunkers. Two long par 3 holes each demand an accurate drive and when playing the 3rd and 12th holes, visitors are advised to look for the Fairy Tree which graces the middle of the fairway. Club folklore states that if a golfer hits this tree he should apologise to the fairies or his game will suffer!
