46 Gainsborough Street, SUDBURY, CO10 2EU

Write a review

The birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough RA (1727-88). The Georgian-fronted town house, with an attractive walled garden, displays more of the artist's work at any one time than any other gallery, together with 18th-century furniture and memorabilia. A varied programme of temporary exhibitions on British art is shown throughout the year.
