Hundred Foot Bank, WELNEY, Wisbech, PE14 9TN

Write a review

This important wetland site on the beautiful Ouse Washes is famed for the breathtaking winter spectacle of wild ducks, geese and swans. Impressive observation facilities, including hides and a heated main observatory, offer outstanding views of the huge numbers of wildfowl which include Bewick's and Whooper swans, wigeon, teal and shoveler. Floodlit evening swan feeds take place between November and February. In summer the reserve is alive with over 40% of all British wetland plant flowers. Butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies are in abundance, and the summer walk gives a unique access to the wetland habitat.
