Oxburgh Hall

OXBOROUGH, Kings Lynn, PE33 9PS

Write a review

The outstanding feature of this 15th-century moated building is the 80ft-high Tudor gatehouse which has remained unaltered throughout the centuries. Henry VII lodged in the King's Room in 1487. A parterre garden of French design stands outside the moat. Rare needlework by Mary Queen of Scots and Bess of Hardwick is on display. A particular attraction is a genuine 16th-century priests hole, which is accessible to members of the public.
