This enchanting, double-moated, 13th-century castle was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Restored by the American millionaire William Waldorf Astor at the beginning of the 20th century, it shows superb Edwardian craftsmanship. Astor also transformed the grounds, creating topiary, a yew maze, 35 acre lake and Italian gardens filled with antique sculptures. There is also a 100 metre herbaceous border, a 'splashing' water maze' on the Sixteen Acre Island, and a woodland walk known as Sunday Walk. Adventure play area with the Henry VIII Tower Maze.
