Write a reviewThis splendid early Victorian mansion stands in beautiful parkland on the site of a previous house, which in turn was built on the site of an even earlier house owned by the Bishops of Winchester. The Castle cellars have been redeveloped firstly to display the family's collection of Egyptian artefacts and secondly to recreate the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922, by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon and Howard Carter.
