Craven Museum & Gallery

Town Hall, High Street, SKIPTON, BD23 1AH

The local museum depicts life - ancient and modern, - in Skipton and the surrounding Craven area. One of the most remarkable exhibits is a simple piece of cloth that was discovered in one of the Bronze Age graves nearby - it's believed to be the oldest piece of cloth to be discovered in Britain. The museum is a good place to browse, wet or fine.
