The Lighthouse
Description
Scotland's National Centre for Architecture, Design and the City. Extending over six floors and one of the biggest centres of its kind in Europe. Home to the award-winning Mackintosh Centre, devoted to the art, architecture and design of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. There are also temporary exhibition spaces with a thought provoking programme. A place of discovery and learning, another feature of The Lighthouse is the uninterrupted view over Glasgow's cityscape. Climb the helical staircase in the Mackintosh Tower or use the lift to the Level 6 Viewing Platform and spot some significant buildings that make up Glasgow's architectural tapestry.
