Cholmondeley Castle Gardens

Dominated by a romantic Gothic Castle built of local sandstone in 1801, the gardens are laid out with fine trees and water gardens, and have been replanted with rhododendrons, azaleas, cornus, and acer. There is also a rose and lavender garden, lakeside and woodland walks, unusual breeds of farm animals and childrens play areas. The Duckery, a derelict 19th-century lakeside pleasure ground has recently been developed and restored. The castle is not open to the public. Plenty of events throughout the year, including classic car rallies, open-air theatre and fireworks. Please contact for details. The 2 for 1 voucher is not valid on special event days.
