Which card should I choose?

Depending on where you plan to travel, you can choose either of these currency cards:

When to choose the AA Euro Travel Currency MasterCard® Prepaid Card

  • If you travel to a country that uses the Euro as its currency
  • If you want to set the exchange rate at a time when rates are in your favour by loading the card with Euros before you travel.

When to choose the AA Worldwide (Sterling) MasterCard® Prepaid Card

  • If you're planning to use a travel currency card outside of the Eurozone on a regular basis
  • If you want to load your card with Sterling and only have it converted to local currency when you use the card abroad.

Euro card

With a euro card, your funds will be converted to euros when you load your card. So when you use your card in the Eurozone, your payments and cash withdrawals will already be converted to euros.

Worldwide (Sterling) card

With a worldwide card your loaded funds will be in Sterling. So when you use your card for payments and cash withdrawals in foreign countries, your funds will be converted to the local currency at the point you use your card.

The card is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd (WDCS) pursuant to licence by MasterCard International Inc. WDCS is authorised by the Financial Services Authority to conduct electronic money service activities under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (ref: 900051).
