Latest news from the AA FSA regulatory body1 The prepaid card is an electronic money product and although it is a product regulated by the Financial Services Authority, it is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. No other compensation scheme exists to cover losses claimed in connection with the prepaid card. This means that in the event that Newcastle Building Society becomes insolvent your funds may become valueless and unusable and as a result you may lose your money.
2 The ATM fee is refunded on withdrawals of £50/€50 or more. Some ATMs may charge an additional fee and should advise you before you confirm the transaction.
3 Motoring spending includes purchases from any car garage (eg for parts, repairs, servicing, MoT testing), fuel purchases (diesel, petrol or LPG Autogas) from any fuel stations including supermarkets, AA products and services purchased directly from the AA.
4 Our agents are available from Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, however you can use this automated telephone service to manage your card at any time. Calls to 0845 numbers are charged at a local rate from BT landlines in the UK. The cost of calls may vary from other phone networks and from abroad.
