Standing in this lovely village, the inn and restaurant offers very good bedrooms and pleasing public rooms. Built in 1823, the Blackwell Ox was named after a locally-bred animal that weighed 2278lbs when it was slaughtered in 1779. The kitchen sources local produce from North Yorkshire, to create simple, honest cooking that has achieved an AA Rosette.
