Action: Recalled vehicles will have the three attachment areas of the rear spoiler modified with additional bonded on reinforcements

Defect: The foot operated parking brake can chafe on the main wiring loom, the left seat console may not withstand a severe rear crash because of faulty welding and on some vehicles with a V petrol engine an additional earth connection must be fitted to the fuel tank.
Action: Recall affected vehicles, fit anti chafing protection to foot operated parking brake, check and if necessary replace left seat console and fit additional earth connection to the fuel tank filler neck

Defect: It has been identified that on a number of Touareg vehicles the rear seat belts may have been fitted with locks which have a riveting defect.
Action: Recall likely to be affected vehicles and check the rear seat belt locks for compliance. Should they be found to be suffering from the defect, the locks will be changed.
