Defect: Jaguar engineers identified a crack present in the fuel outlet flange on components returned from the market. If a crack is present, customers are most likely to detect fuel odour when the vehicle is static from the outside of the vehicle. However, in extreme circumstances there could be a pool of fuel underneath the rear of the vehicle, which in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire.
Action: Replace the fuel outlet flange.
Launch Date: 10 December 2012
