Fabulous lunch and guided tour,
at Riverford's working organic farm
On Friday 26 April, two lucky members and their guests joined Riverford in Devon, for an afternoon of fun on the farm.
Our winners enjoyed a feast of home-grown, seasonal spring fare for lunch at the Field Kitchen restaurant – served in generous portions at the farmhouse table.
Next, Riverford shared their organic farming philosophy, on a guided tour of the farm, demonstrating just how good farming produces good food – from field to plate.
After tea and refreshments, the experience continued with a gardening walk and talk with Riverford’s green-fingered expert, Penny Hemming.
Here's what one of our lucky winners had to say about the experience:
We have had a busy weekend but intended to thank you and the AA for a very special day – most informative and enjoyable. We were treated to a lovely day, full of excellent care and attention, with sought-after
top-quality fresh and local food. The desserts were beyond by far better than ever seen and tasted before.
It was also appreciated to receive an AA bag of 'goodies' with a recipe book from the Field Kitchen. An outstanding reward from the AA.
Well done in every way, thank you to Amanda and the AA.
