Imaginative modern cooking in former coaching inn

A whitewashed coaching inn dating back 300 years, The Bell is a popular pitstop for walkers and visitors to nearby Marlborough. Part of the Ramsbury Estate, the pub has its own brewery, distillery and smokehouse, with much of the produce used in the kitchen coming from the estate and walled garden. This means the menus change on a regular basis depending on produce availability but you might time your visit to enjoy a warm celeriac mousse with Cropwell Bishop, apple and toasted cereal. It might be followed by hay-flamed hogget, lamb fat potatoes, barbecued cabbage and rosemary sauce, ending with quince and almond tart with brown butter ice cream.
