Bucket-and-spade Weston-super-Mare is trading up these days, and this smartly revamped bistro-style restaurant on the seafront near Birnbeck Pier fits in admirably. The terrace perched above the water is the place to be on a balmy day, while full-length windows ensure a great view all year. Inside, its pared-back contemporary look wouldn't look out of place in a big city. The unpretentious, Mediterranean-accented menu kicks off with the likes of an Asian-inspired spiced pork belly, followed by whole baked sea bass en papillote, or fritto misto to share. Finish with chocolate brownie sundae or go for one of their home-made ice creams.
