The family-run La Luna has an easy-going atmosphere and a contemporary finish, which fits the kitchen's sunny Med-style, brasserie-inspired output. A starter of chargrilled king prawns with samphire and slow-roasted tomatoes and peppers shows the style, with the simplicity of seafood cocktail, pasta options, and Welsh steaks cooked on the grill adding to its broad appeal. Medallions of Welsh sirloin might find their way into a stroganoff, with confit potatoes, parsnips and onions. Desserts run to the likes of raspberry crème brûlée or bread-and-butter pudding with rum and toffee sauce. There's an early evening menu, too, and some fair-weather outside tables.
