Like other hotels in the group, this branch is done out in best boutique fashion, with dramatic crimson and purple interiors, a sultrily lit bar and a brasserie in deep brown tones. The order of the day is lively modern French cooking with interesting variations. Starters include carpaccio with parmesan and truffle dressing, and tuna tartare with wasabi, pickled ginger, avocado and sesame and soy dressing. Main courses show the same range, from herb-crusted rack of lamb with Parmentier potatoes and minty salsa verde to Goan-style moules frites. There are steaks too, and puddings such as pineapple carpaccio with mint, lime, chilli and coconut sorbet.
