The Four Seasons stands in modern grandeur at Hyde Park Corner, a distinctly plutocratic node of central London. In the restaurant, carefully-crafted Italian dishes embrace the simplicity that everyone seeks in Italian food. Open with inspired antipasti such as culatello and melon, or burrata with broad beans and raw artichoke. Silky pasta encases finely textured rabbit for a ravioli dish with a counter-intuitive garnish of langoustines and a scattering of fragrant tarragon. Next is a deftly executed dish of fried calamari on tomato and rocket salad dressed with pesto, or grilled veal chop with sauté potatoes. A retooled tiramisù is garnished with a salted tuile set with cocoa nibs.
