Decked out on tiered levels, with light walls hung with big mirrors and linen-dressed tables, this minimally-styled Holland Park eatery pulls in a well-heeled crowd for its fashionable Sardinian-accented Italian cooking. The kitchen certainly knows its stuff, keeping things simple and straightforward, allowing the excellent ingredients to speak for themselves, and showcasing seasonal produce with a daily specials list. The chef is Sardinian, so you might go for home-made malloreddusu pasta in a rich sauce of sausage, saffron, pecorino cheese and tomato, but there is also much that is familiar from the Italian mainland – grilled Dover sole fillets with white wine and broccoli, say, plus textbook pannacotta with mixed berries for pudding.
