With classic French posters on the bright yellow walls, rich red leather banquettes and French music playing over the sound system, this place could hardly be more Gallic. Roasted bone marrow comes with a teaspoon to make sure you get every last delicious smidgeon, plus parsley and gherkin salad and a powerful red wine sauce, while duck foie gras terrine is combined with ham hock and artichokes. Gilt head bream arrives with crispy skin and soft flesh in a main course with aubergine purée and confit tomatoes, or go for confit duck leg with home-made pickled white cabbage (choucroute). Finish with a tarte Tatin for two.
