In the heart of the Brocklesby Estate, this Grade II listed inn has been welcoming travellers and locals for almost 240 years. It's recently undergone a stylish refurbishment, and offers clean, modern lines and lots of period detail. The enthusiasm of the kitchen shows in the modern British dishes, vibrant presentation, and classical techniques. A starter of brown crab croquette is accompanied by crab and lemon mayonnaise and a quail’s egg. Pan-fried pigeon with fondant potato, maple shallot and girolle mushroom comes with a Madeira and thyme jus, while warm coconut sponge served with mango and raspberry makes a refreshingly original finale.
