Refurbished in 2015, The Swan started life as a coaching inn back in the 15th century and it still draws the crowds. Brasserie-style menus showcase Kentish farm produce in dishes with global influences. Prawn and scallop raviolo with shellfish bisque might be one way to start, the confit chicken and ham hock terrine with fig and date jam an equally tempting one. Mains could be a cod fillet with green beans, parmesan croquette and puttanesca sauce, while the grill produces Black Angus steaks. Choose between salted caramel tart with vanilla ice cream or milk chocolate mousse, honeycomb and chocolate brownie for dessert.
