With its 12th-century granite walls, period charm and luxe boutique finish, Bella Luce is a class act. The culinary action takes place in the romantic restaurant, where there's some sharp, contemporary European cooking built on a good showing of local produce and a good deal of skill in the execution of dishes. Get the show on the road with beef carpaccio with truffled egg dressing, parmesan and shaved cauliflower. Follow with roast fillet of cod with squid and mussels, butternut squash, braised leeks and saffron sauce or go for a rib-eye of Aberdeen Angus beef from the grill. End with a tasting of chocolate.
