This restaurant occupies a contemporary space with a high-vaulted ceiling, rustic stone fireplace, polished wooden floors, leather seating and bold modern abstract art. The menu takes a broad sweep through global culinary culture, with British 28-day aged beef cooked on the chargrill a speciality. You might start with crispy duck with an accompanying coriander salad and pickled ginger, or home-made oxtail soup, the meat slow-cooked for five hours. Main courses take a similar international route, so tiger prawn linguine with chilli and garlic stands alongside Wainwright ale-battered haddock with thick-cut chips, mushy peas and lemon and tartare sauce. Desserts include warm chocolate brownie with raspberry ripple ice cream.
