Wines by the glass

One of the oldest buildings in the village, The Bull has been central to this community for hundreds of years. Real fires, gnarled old beams: it's got the lot, and outdoors there's a garden with some raised beds to fuel the kitchen. Expect local ales at the pumps and plenty of regional ingredients on the menu of updated old favourites alongside more refined options. Ham hock terrine with piccalilli shows technical nous, followed perhaps by roasted duck breast with rösti potato and griottine cherry sauce, or fillet of wild sea trout with orzo pasta. Finish with poached rhubarb, orange curd and coconut sorbet.
