This relaxed, contemporary operation has made quite a splash on the local culinary scene. Spread over two floors, its purple-toned decor is a nod to the namesake berry, and views across the River Tay from the first floor are a real bonus. Focused, modern dishes allow local produce to shine, setting out with foraged mushroom gnocchi, flavoured with rosemary and served with cauliflower purée, parmesan crisps and foam. Next up, pork belly and crackling comes with creamed potato and a sharp pickled walnut sauce to balance the richness of the pork, while dessert brings poached pear with chocolate ganache, Parma violet sweets and caramelised hazelnuts.
