Close to the city's booming waterfront, Castlehill is a sophisticated spot with a decorative style evoking the colours and textures of Scotland. There's a real sense of place to the menu, too, with Scottish ingredients to the fore, while the cooking is thoroughly modern and creative. A starter of wild rabbit with an artichoke pearl barley risotto allows the central ingredients to shine, or go for the more cutting-edge duck egg cooked precisely at 63° and served with pineapple. Among mains, wild halibut with gnocchi and coconut competes for your attention with Highland venison, and, to finish, blood orange soufflé is matched with liquorice root ice cream.
