A dashing contemporary construction of glass and wood, The Jetty's culinary output is headed up by Alex Aitken. Provenance is everything here. In fine weather, grab a table on the terrace if you can, although floor-to-ceiling windows provide glorious views over Mudeford Quay. The kitchen turns out contemporary dishes taking inspiration from far and wide, so seared tuna gets a Japanese twist with avocado and wasabi ice cream (just the right punchiness), and there's a classical European approach to a fabulous fillet of sea bass with lemon butter sauce. There are meaty options such as calves' liver with truffle sausage, and desserts run to a summery New Forest strawberry creation.
