A stone-built village inn at St George on the north Wales coast, , The Kinmel is introducing a pantry and wine shop but already established is the elegant, award-winning dining room. From a winter à la carte you might decide on mushroom brûlée, toasted brioche and truffle butter and follow on with a tasting of guinea fowl, French-style beans and pickled cabbage, or turbot, wasabi, romanesco and sea herbs. Desserts could be a light floating island with pistachio and mandarin or a heart-warmer like Apple and blackberry crumble with damson ice cream.
