The restaurant here is full of old-world charm, with oak-panelled walls, brass fittings and chandeliers, flowers and linen napery on the tables and a cooking style that's more likely to reassure than to startle with modernism, with the kitchen quite rightly keeping its customer base happy. Dishes are technically accurate and nicely presented without being showy, starting with crisp pork belly with white bean purée, chorizo, apple jelly and a crispy quail's egg. Main course brings salmon fillet with a crab and spring onion patty, sweet potato dauphinoise, buttered samphire, roast beetroot and white wine cream. For pudding, look no further than strawberry pannacotta with shortbread.
