Accomplished cooking in an elegant little restaurant

The converted Victorian townhouse near Jesus Green conceals a discreetly elegant and comfortable dining room done out in shades of fawn, brown and beige. The menu follows a monthly changing, set-price formula of three courses with a sorbet following the starter, which might be duck liver pâté with spiced clementine jelly, roasted pears and brioche. The cooking is driven by market-fresh ingredients, and dishes are distinguished by a lack of frill and flounce. Consistently accomplished main courses include Scottish hake with salt-baked celeriac and pig's cheek bonbon, while to finish, iced candied fruit parfait comes with an espresso espuma.
