Owner-chef couple Jamie Randall and Olivia Barry have made quite an impact on the local scene since opening this stylish restaurant at the end of 2015. Located on the water’s edge in the city’s revitalised harbourside area, the open-plan kitchen and distressed furniture provides a contemporary and informal setting for the innovative modern European cooking, as does the relaxed style of chefs bringing dishes to the table. Brixham crab, dill, apple and wood sorrel packs a big hit of flavour to begin with, as does a main course risotto of pumpkin and blue cheese with walnuts. Artfully arranged desserts include stout ice-cream with chocolate and popcorn.
