Bar menu
Open all year

Built here just west of Salisbury Plain in 1878, the Leo was named after Victoria and Albert's popular, but sickly, eighth child, who lived at nearby Boyton Manor. Local craftsman Matthew Burt's elm-topped bar counter is where to order Somerset-brewed Butcombe ale or Warminster-brewed Plain Ales Sheep Dip. There's a log fire, sofas and cameos of village life in the Victorian snug, while from the dining room beyond you can see the Wylye as you enjoy chicken wrapped in Parma ham; confit duck leg with pea and pancetta fricassée; fisherman's pie; or Portobello mushroom, feta and chilli burger.
