James Crabtree continues to brew the same legendary beers as did his late father. A Crabtree pint is much sought after by real ale drinkers, so even though the only food is crisps and nuts, the climb up to this old hilltop alehouse is worth it (and for the great jukebox music too). Three of its four small rooms are heated by old Yorkshire ranges. An outside drinking area overlooks the Colne Valley. Children and dogs are welcome.
