Several inducements are at work at this appealing village pub – open fires, a pretty garden, a craft bar selling over 40 beers and lagers, first-rate English wines and an extensive gin menu. Typical dishes include cod fillet with cheese and potato croquette; sticky rib of beef with smoked bacon crumb; and, in season, whole roast partridge. The menu also includes a popular vegetarian section. Selsey crab and lobster appear on the ever-changing specials board in summer.
