This rambling, half-timbered coaching inn has fronted Henley's picturesque High Street for over 500 years. Behind the property is a secluded, lavender-scented beer-garden, where beers from Purity can be enjoyed in the warmer months. The punchy, seasonal menus have gained the award of two AA Rosettes. Start with braised pig cheek, lobster bisque, apple and bacon followed by halibut, butter bean and chorizo cassoulet. Chocolate mousse cake and raspberry sorbet to finish.
