Set by the village green and church, this beautifully appointed inn is one of the county’s oldest buildings. It oozes charm and character, featuring ancient panelling, open fires, distinctive carvings, huge beams, and eight comfortable bedrooms. In addition to the house beer, Crown Bitter, ales come from Surrey, Hampshire and London breweries. Food ranges from enticing snacks like traditional fish and chips to duck leg confit with flageolet bean; or pan-fried calves' liver and bacon.
