Pint of beer on a bar

Yew Tree Inn

Affectionately known as the ‘junk shop with a bar’

Beer festival
Open all year

This is an Aladdin’s Cave of a pub with a collection of antiques and curios which includes Queen Victoria’s stockings, a 3,000-year-old Grecian urn, penny-farthings and Victorian polyphons. Sit on church pews or on a grand settee and settle for a pint of Burton Bridge or a guest ale, then turn to the modest yet hearty menu to decide on a traditional Staffordshire pie, stew or a Staffordshire oatcake. Family owned since 1961, the Yew Tree is a popular meeting place for owners of vintage cars and motorcycles – rallies are held throughout the summer on the events field. Time a visit for the July beer festival.
