Appealing menus and local ales in the Mendips

At a glance

Bar menu

Open all year

Slap bang in the centre of the bustling village of Winscombe, surrounded by the Mendip Hills, The Woodborough is close to Weston-super-Mare and conveniently located for Bristol Airport. The pub is also popular with cyclists using the Strawberry Line cycle way which passes the door. With a large comfortable bar and separate restaurant, a log-burner makes this a cosy space and the village hub. Locally brewed Butcombe Bitter and Thatchers Traditional cider keep drinkers satisfied, whilst a typical meal might start with beetroot-cured gravad lax with horseradish and dill cream, followed by beef Stroganoff with rice.
