A delightfully old fashioned rural pub, The Halfway House has three homely rooms boasting open fires, books and traditional games, but no music or electronic games. This free house is largely dedicated to the promotion of quality brews, with an annual beer festival in March and cider festival in August. Eight to twelve top ales and ciders are served, including Teignworthy Reel Ale and Kingston Black cider. The home-cooked rustic fare is made using local ingredients. Sandwiches, pies, fish and chips, game casserole and soups are served at lunchtimes, while a great range of English pub food and specials are available for dinner. Sundays lunches stretch from 1 until 4.
