Beautifully located overlooking the Blackdown Hills, this traditional family-owned country pub has been a labour of love for owners Chris and Janet Slow for over 18 years. A warm and friendly atmosphere pervades the bar with its hand-made settles and tables. Exmoor and St Austell ales head the refreshments list, while reasonably priced and freshly made meals are prepared in the state-of-the-art kitchen. In addition to classic pub dishes, steaks and grills, the chef’s specials may tempt with smoked haddock, prawn and leek bake, honey and mustard glazed lamb noisettes; or country chicken casserole. The inn offers AA-rated accommodation, and the barn next door hosts weddings and regular live music.
