Enjoyable food in a Welsh longhouse with lovely views

With magnificent views across the Radnor Valley, this stone-built Welsh longhouse dates from the 15th century. Open the plain wooden door and you step into a cosy lounge and bars with original oak beams, crackling log fires, semi-circular wooden settles and slate floors; books, board games and hop bines complete the warm, traditional appeal. The food focus is on fresh and seasonal produce, and local sourcing is highlighted on the concise, refreshingly no-frills menu.
