Part of an historic Scottish country estate run by a Franco-Scottish couple, this former 19th-century mail-coach stopover was renovated in 2017 with 11 luxurious bedrooms and five cottages. Eat in the traditional flagstone-floored bar, the woodland-themed stone barn or the more intimate private dining room. Drinks and meals can also be enjoyed in the garden. Menus reflect a Franco-Scottish heritage, with simple, seasonal country food classics using vegetables, trout, venison and game from the estate. Perth-brewed Lure of Meikleour, and StrathBraan Due South Ale from Dunkeld are available as well as an extensive wine list featuring off-the-beaten-path vineyards.
