In an elevated position in the village, this Hook Norton brewery pub offers a number of options: in front of the fire in the bar; in the comfortably furnished, oak-beamed Garden Room; or head for the pretty suntrap terrace, not least for its view of the delightful Cherwell Valley. In addition to generous Sunday roasts, other locally sourced dishes include salads; thin-crust, stone-baked pizzas; Aberdeen Angus burgers; risottos; roast rump of lamb with redcurrant and rosemary; and fresh haddock with or without batter, triple-cooked chips and mushy peas. Children and dogs are welcome.
