Here at The Mason’s Arms, Jamie Bailey and Louise Robertson continue their successful track record of running pubs. This one is a 300-year-old, stone-built former Masonic lodge, situated in the Cotswolds; it retains its traditional, informal feel and the large garden has stunning views of the surrounding area. Jamie’s modern European cooking concentrates on local produce whenever possible and there is an emphasis on fish on the specials board, which might offer pan-fried tiger prawns with chilli and chorizo followed by pan-fried red mullet with crab meat and samphire linguine. Non-fish options include coq au vin and venison Wellington.
