Set on the village green, The Kingham Plough is the epitome of the idyllic English inn with award-winning food (worthy of two AA Rosettes) and bedrooms. The bar area hosts two open fires and serves an enticing menu offering home-made bar food such as garlic snails and wild mushrooms on chargrilled sourdough and local ales from the likes of North Cotswold brewery. Upstairs, in the refurbished dining room, the menu showcases the very best local ingredients in dishes such as a venison loin and venison boudin noir, beetroot and spelt risotto or, in summer, confit sea trout with smoked trout Scotch quail egg, cucumber, samphire and oyster mayonnaise.
