This predominantly late 17th-century pub has been in the aptly-named Heritage family for nearly 25 years. Flagstone floors and open fireplaces characterise the interior, where the bar staff dispense a changing line-up of six guest ales along with a good choice of ciders. Bar snacks range from grilled jalapeño peppers to pork crackling, while classic dishes include home-made pies and the 'Made in America' dishes prove ever popular. Sunday roasts are a big thing, followed between 5pm and 7pm by live music. Beer and cider festivals are held in March and October.
